Welcome to Mighty Maid's Political Report

My Yahoo 360 blog announced one day in late October 2007 that they would be transitioning. The following is from the Yahoo 360 team blog.

Q: Why are you transitioning 360? We love it the way it is.

A: Yahoo! is building a universal profile system to provide a more integrated experience. We currently have many different profiles for different Yahoo! products. Our goal is to centralize as many of these as possible into one common profile.

Q: Will the new profile platform have blogs?

A: Yes, the new platform will have blogging features. We'll provide a way for you to move all your existing blog content to the new platform.

Q: My existing 360° information is very important to me. Will there be a way to migrate all my information, blog posts, friends, etc. to the new profile platform?

A: Yes. We will preserve your Yahoo! 360 blog content, profile photo, nickname, and friends lists during and after the transition. You'll have a way to back up your information as well as a tool to migrate your information into the new profile service.

When they changed how to post photos it took forever to transfer them. And they gave you only one notice of when they were doing it "sometime after September 1, 2007".

Q: Will any of the existing 360° features be taken away before the transition?

A: No.

So I set off on my journey to find a new blog place if Yahoo went to hell. ( some think it has been there for a long time already). One of my friends invited me to another site which is similar to 360. So I joined that one almost right away. But I was also looking for something a bit more serious with a bit more substance. One of my stops along the way was Joeuser. I started reading some of the articles and found them interesting. Alot of the articles are about politics here and I have recently become interested in that.

I was hooked. I continued to come back and even started to get some favorite users. Well I finally decided to join. So I too could take part in these intellegent conversations. This will be my place to post my political views ( or lack of ). You can help mold and shape them. I will be serious but not too serious as I do have a sense of humour.

I hope you enjoy my comments on your articles, my views, and rants about other day to day things. I hope to make friends here and have some fun too as I have on other blogs.

My other sites I call my blog " Mighty Maid's Cleaning Report" because I am a hotel housekeeper. As this is going to be for my political views and the like I changed it a bit.

So I bid you Welcome to Mighty Maid's Political Report.

Heh, well we have some hijackin (as in thread high jack) pirates round here.

They're not cannibals though.

Mostly.

This be true! We feast on Rum cakes and grog. All are welcome to join (we hijacked one thread and have been sailing that one around for the past 18 months. Just good natured pirate fun - after all, who does not want to be a pirate at times?
