Well as you can tell from the title, we had another blizzard. This was a short and sweet type though. Saturday morning started out raining so I thought I could get by with just wearing a jacket. I thought the rain would stop by the time I got off work in the afternoon.Well by 9:30 am it was rain snow mix and the temperature had fallen from 43 degrees to 31, ten O' clock arrives and we have a full blown blizzard going on. I am at work at this time. My supervisor calls to tell me to cover up the flowers she just planted the day before. So here I am in my JACKET totally unprotected from the elements, out covering up flower planters with trash bags. The wind is a blowing , snow is falling , and I am getting numb fingers and soaked hair. I did the planters by the front door first, went back in to warm up a bit then headed out to the courtyard to do those. It was not near as windy there as the buildings surround it on 3 sides. I had to go in and warm up about half way through this batch of planters. I finished up there went back in through the pool area where I got quite warm and my glasses instantly fogged over. I did the last two planters outside the pool area and came in for the final time. I grabbed a pool towel and dried my hair and glasses. I continued working and by the time I got off at 2:00 pm the blizzard was over and the skies were clearing. The snow slowly started to melt. And that my friends is what we call a 4 hour blizzard in Nebraska. Oh, by the way Sunday's high temperature was a balmy 74 degrees. Aah! Nothin' like good ol'e springtime in Nebraska!
